What we collect, why, and your rights. Last updated 9 June 2026.
What we collect
When you register we collect your name, email address, country, optional phone number and your registration details. When you sit the examination we record your answers, score, result and the credential issued on a pass. When you contact us we keep your message. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; Capital Wake never sees or stores your card number.
Why we use it
- To deliver the service - administering your registration, payment, examination, result, refund where applicable, and your credential.
- Verification - if you pass, your name, result, issue date and credential status are shown to anyone who enters your unique credential ID on the verification page. This is the purpose of the credential; the ID itself is not guessable and is shared only by you.
- Correspondence - emails confirming payment, your result and your refund, and replies to your enquiries. We do not send marketing email.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payment processing), our hosting and database providers (Netlify and Supabase), and our email delivery provider. Each processes data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal data. If you pass, your credential record is retained in the registry so firms can verify it; examination and registration records are retained for our legitimate business and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict processing. Note that deleting a credential record removes the ability to verify it. To exercise any right, contact us and we will respond within one month.
Cookies and local storage
Capital Wake does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The examination page uses your browser’s local storage for one purpose only: saving your in-progress answers so a connection drop does not cost you your sitting. This data stays on your device and is cleared when your result is recorded. Stripe sets its own cookies on the payment page for fraud prevention; see Stripe’s privacy policy.
